MUHAMMAD ABDUSSALAM. Chairman, founder

Muhammad graduated with First Class Honors in Banking and Finance (Business Administration) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His academic journey continued with a master’s degree (MSc) in financial markets and investments from Skema Business School, Paris. Launching his career in 2018, he began as an assistant portfolio manager at AXA Mansard Investments, managing both fixed-income and equity securities. A brief stint at GT Bank followed, after which he pursued advanced studies in Paris.
After his master’s degree, Muhammad ventured into DNCA Finance in Paris, serving as a Liabilities and Retrocession Manager for nearly two years. His journey has now led him to Airbus, where he currently works as a financial reporting analyst. Beyond his professional endeavours, Muhammad is an ardent supporter of local business growth and a dedicated advocate for education. This very belief in education spurred the establishment of Macaw and Quetzal schools.

KHADIJAH ABDUSSALAM. managing director

Khadija Abdussalam serves as the Managing Director of the school, holding an NCE certificate in Chemistry/Int. Science from the Federal College of Education Zaria and a BSc (Ed) in Int. Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. With an extensive career as an educator, Khadija has amassed over fifteen years of teaching experience. Before her tenure at Macaw and Quetzal, she excelled in teaching diverse subjects across various classes at Assalafiyya Model Schools Kaduna, eventually advancing to the role of Head Teacher

YAZID ABDUSSALAM. Company secretary/legal adviser

Yazid Abdussalam, Esq. (L.L.B., B.L.), holds the dual roles of company secretary and legal director. He graduated with Second Class Honors, Upper Division in Common and Islamic Law from Bayero University, Kano. Following his academic achievements, he was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2017 after completing his legal studies at the Nigerian Law School. Presently, he practices law as a legal practitioner at M.B. Yusuf and Co.
Yazid’s expertise extends to diverse legal areas, including civil and criminal litigation, commercial practice, and property and corporate consultation. His standing as a private solicitor and advocate further underscores his adeptness in the legal domain

MARYAM HARUNA YAHAYA. Director of marketing & digital media

Maryam holds a degree in chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, complemented by a postgraduate qualification in environmental chemistry from the same institution. Maryam is the founder and creative director at Lavida Dresses and Apparel (@lavida.ng), a comprehensive ready-to-wear fashion house catering to diverse modest clothing needs worldwide. Through Lavida, Maryam is adept at delivering substantial value to a global clientele. Her skillset extends to marketing, with particular expertise in social media marketing

ABUBAKAR ABDUSSALAM. Director of operations

Abubakar is a holder of a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and environmental engineering from Bayero University, Kano. Complementing his academic journey, he obtained a diploma in practical agriculture and agribusiness management from Audu Bako College of Agriculture and a higher diploma in entrepreneurship and business finance from Kaduna Business School. Further enhancing his qualifications, Abubakar is actively pursuing a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.

Abubakar currently serves as a Revenue Officer I within the Revenue Operations Department at Kaduna Internal Revenue Services (KADIRS). This amalgamation of academic prowess and practical experience underscores his dedication to professional growth and proficiency.

ANAS ABDUSSALAM. Director of ICT

Anas holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kaduna State University, achieving Second Class Honors, Upper Division. He further pursued his academic journey at the same university, attaining a master’s degree (MSc) in computer science. His professional path commenced as an IT Support Officer at Unity Bank, followed by his role as a Regional IT Officer at Great Brands Nigeria Ltd. He subsequently undertook key responsibilities, first as the Head of Non-Financial Transactions and later as the Head of Financial Transactions at First Bank Nigeria Limited.
Currently, Anas serves as an ICT officer at the Nigerian Customs Service. His dedication to continuous improvement is evident through multiple acquired certifications, including CCNA, Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, and Microsoft Azure. Proficient in various programming languages like R, SQL, VBA, and Python, Anas possesses a versatile skillset cultivated over his dynamic career journey.
